A couple was killed in a motorcycle accident in Haluaghat upazila of Mymensingh on Friday morning.
The deceased were Saidur Rahman, 28, from Roumari upazila in Kurigram and his wife Sonia Akter, 22.
Haluaghat Police Station officer in-charge Md Mahbubul Haque said Saidur's motorcycle hit hard a roadside electric pole in Lakshmikura Bazar area around 8 am, leaving him dead on the spot and his wife injured.
Later, she was taken to Haluaghat Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared her dead, he said.
The bodies were kept at the police station and legal measures are under process, the OC added.
