As many as 4,81,047 students of Class XI will receive stipends in the current academic year.
Besides, 6,936 more students will get stipends in physically challenged, and other quotas.
It was learned after analyzing the data of a list regarding this which was recently published in a meeting of the implementation and monitoring committee of stipend activities of the integrated stipend program under the Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust.
Sources concerned said the stipend beneficiaries were selected based on poverty through the HSP unit in assistance of the MIS cell of the Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust office.
Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust provides admission assistance to ensure the admission of poor and talented students to different educational institutions.
