The sale of all advance train tickets for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr began through online at 8am on Sunday.
Passengers will be able to purchase the tickets for April 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and April 9 on March 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and March 30 respectively.
On the other hand, the selling of return tickets will begin from April 3. The return tickets for April 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 will be available on April 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 respectively.
Everyday a total of 33,500 tickets of intercity trains will be sold. Besides, one-fourth standing tickets against the total seat of the non-ac compartment will also be sold.
For a hassle-free service for the passengers in the holy month of Ramadan, cent percent railway tickets will be available through online at Bangladesh Railway website https://eticket.railway.gov.bd or mobile app.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Railway authorities have taken decision to run eight pairs of special trains on the occasion of Eid.
