The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested nine people, including two employees of Shohoz, for allegedly selling train tickets on the black market.
The arrestees are Md Mizan Dhali, 48, pion of Shohoz, the company responsible for the design, development, implementation, technical operation & maintenance of the Railway ticketing system, and its server operator Newton Bishwas, 40, Md Sohel Dhali, 30, Md Sumon, 39, Md Zahangir Alam, 49, Md Shahjalal Hossain, 42, Md Russel, 24, Md Joynal Abedin, 46, and Md Sabur Hawlader, 40.
They were apprehended in drives in Kamalapur and Sabujbag areas in the capital Dhaka on Thursday night.
The elite force seized a huge number of train tickets from them who collected and stored these illegally.
RAB legal and media wing director Khandaker Al Moin said this in a press conference at its media center in the capital on Friday afternoon.
