At least 35 people suffered burn injuries in a gas cylinder explosion in Kaliakair upazila of Gazipur on Wednesday evening.
The incident occurred at the home of Shafique Khan in Telirchala area around 5:45 pm.
Md Saiful Islam, in-charge of Mouchak Police Outpost in Kaliakair, confirmed the matter.
Of the injured, 30 were brought to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, Dhaka, said Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Camp in-charge inspector Bachchu Mia.
