BNP leader Ataur Rahman Dhali freed from jail

Ataur Rahman Dhali, an advisor to the BNP chairperson, has been released from jail after four months.

He walked out of Kashimpur Central Jail, Gazipur on Saturday afternoon, said the party's media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan.

He said Dhali was arrested on November 21 in a politically motivated case following foiling BNP's October 28 grand rally in the capital Dhaka.

A total of nine cases were lodged against him with different police stations, including Ramna and Paltan, and he recently got bail in all the lawsuits, Shayrul Kabir added.
