The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association has decided to raise the price of gold by Tk 2,217 to Tk 1,12,908 per bhori following an increase in the price of pure gold in the local market.
It is the highest price of gold as of Wednesday (March 6). Earlier on January 18, the price of gold hit the highest record of Tk 1,12,441 per bhori.
BAJUS's standing committee on pricing and price monitoring decided this in a meeting today, a press release said.
Now, gold of 22-carat will cost Tk 1,12,908 per bhori (11.664 grams), 21-carat Tk 1,07,775, 18-carat Tk 92,397, and gold of traditional method Tk 76,982 respectively.
The new prices will come into effect from Thursday (March 7).
