The Dhaka University authorities have suspended seven students after various allegations, including damaging the university image, misconduct, and violation of disciplines, were proven.
The suspended students are Zahid Sheikh, and Md Shahrin Islam of the Ceramics Department, Md Azha Islam of Applied Mathematics, Mortuza Hasan Khan of Music, Md Azim Mahmud Tawsif of History, Md Riyad Mal of International Relations, and Md Abdul Wahed of Persian Language & Literature, a DU notice said on Tuesday.
Apart from this, 60 other students have been penalized for different terms for adopting illegal means in examinations.
The notice said a syndicate meeting decided this on March 3 following recommendations of a meeting of the Disciplinary Board. Vice Chancellor Professor Dr ASM Maksud Kamal presided over the meeting.
