RFL starts exporting electronic bicycle

RFL, the country's leading business conglomerate, has started exporting electronic bicycles (e-bike). Recently, a consignment of e-bike has been sent to Germany from its factory of Rangpur Metal Industries Limited, a concern of RFL Group, located in Habiganj Industrial Park at Shayestaganj in Habiganj.

Mahmudur Rahman, chief operating officer at Rangpur Metal Industries Limited, said, “E-bike has steadily gained popularity around the world as a convenient and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional bicycle and motorized vehicles. As a result, it is in great demand all over the world, especially in European countries. The global market size for e-bikes is USD 40 billion and it is gradually growing. In this context, we have started exporting e-bikes. Hopefully, we will get a good response in Germany.”

He also said, “We are in talks with buyers from different countries, including Brazil and the UK, for e-bike export. We hope that RFL's e-bikes will be able to establish a strong position in the global market and contribute to the diversification of Bangladesh's export products.”

RFL started manufacturing and marketing electronic bicycles (e-bikes) for the country’s market for the first time in February.
