A total of 42 deceased, out of 46 killed in the devastating fire at the seven-storey Green Cozy Cottage building on Bailey Road in the capital, were identified as of Friday.
Relatives identified them at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue.
Of them, the bodies of 40 were handed over to their families.
The deceased are Fouzia Afrin, 22, her sister Sadia Afrin, Popy Roy, Sompona Poddar, 11, Ashraful Islam, 25, Nazia Akter, 31, her son Arham Mostofa, Nurul Islam, 32, Sompa Saha, 46, Shanta Hossain, 24, Maysha Kabir, 21, her sister, Mehera Kabir, Lutfor Nahar Karim, 50, her daughter Jannatin Tajri Nikita, 23, Mohammad Jihad, 22, Kamrul Hasan, 20, Didarul Haque, 23, Ataur Rahman, 65, Mehedia Hasan, 27, Nusrat Jahan, 19, Jarin Tasnim, 20, Juwel Gazi, 30, Rubi Roy, 40, her daughter Priyanka Roy, Tushar Hawlader, 23, KM Minhaz Uddin, 25, Sagor, 24, Tanzila Nawrin, 35, Shipon, 21, Alisa, 13, BUET student Nahiyan Amin, 19, Lamisa Islam, 20, Md Nayeem, 18, journalist Abhishruti Shasri, 25, Shahjalal Uddin, 34, her wife Meherun Nesa Jahan, 24, and their child Fairuz Kashem Jamira, 3.
However, five members of a family were also killed in the fire.
They are Syed Mobarak Kawsar, 48, his wife Swapna Akter, 40, their children Syeda Fetema-tuz-Johra, 16, Syeda Amena Akter, 13, and Syed Abdullah, 8.
Earlier on Thursday night, forty-six people were killed after the deadly fire broke out at Green Cozy Cottage building on Bailey Road area.
