Justice Abu Ahmed Jamadar appointed as ICT chairman

The government has appointed Justice Md Abu Ahmed Jamadar as the chairman of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT).

The Ministry of Law issued a gazette notification in this regard on Tuesday by the order of the President.

Meanwhile, the outgoing chairman Justice Md Shahinur Islam has been brought back to the High Court Division. Dhaka District and Sessions Judge AHM Habibur Rahman Bhuiyan has also been appointed as the member of the ICT.

The International Crimes Tribunal was formed in March 25, 2010, and a second tribunal was formed in March 23, 2012, which is non-functional since September 2015.
