Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) has distributed leaflets in the capital Dhaka calling for the restoration of democracy, the establishment of human rights and voting rights, and the protection of the country's independence and sovereignty.
Leaders and activists of JCD observed the leaflet distribution and mass contact programs in Green Road, and Uttara areas on Tuesday.
Chhatra Dal senior joint general secretary Md Rakibul Islam Rakib and assistant general secretary SM Hasan Mahmud Ripon were, among others, present in the programs.
Earlier on Sunday, the BNP announced new programs as part of its ongoing one-point movement to topple the government.
The programs are mass contact and leaflet distribution in all metropolitan cities on February 13 and 14, in all district towns on February 17, and in all upazila, Thana, municipalities and unions on February 18 and 19, and prayers and seeking pardon in all mosques across the country on February 16 for those who were martyred inside Bangladesh territory adjacent to Bangladesh, India and Myanmar borders.
