A four-day annual conference of deputy commissioners (DCs) will begin in Dhaka on March 3. It will end on March 6.
Additional Secretary of the Cabinet Division Md Amin Ul Ahsan confirmed the matter to Jago News on Tuesday.
He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the conference at Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in the morning on March 3.
Following the inaugural function at the PMO, the four-day conference will take place at Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital, he added.
On this occasion, the deputy commissioners will meet the president, the chief justice and the speaker and take instructions from them.
DCs Conference is an annual meeting of the heads of districts with policy makers of the government aimed at discussing policy matters and development strategies to gear up the field level administration.
Due to the pandemic, the conference could not take place in 2020 and 2021.
