Writer Zakir Talukder has returned his Bangla Academy Literary Award which he received in 2014.
He revealed this in a post on his verified Facebook ID on Sunday but did not cite any reason.
In the post, he attached a part of the letter he sent to Bangla Academy and a photo of Tk 1 lakh cheque issued to the director general of the institution.
After the post, many of his well-wishers in comment wanted to know what's the reason. In reply, he said he will explain tomorrow (Monday).
Zakir Talukder is a doctor by profession and works in various private medical and research institutions.
His notable books are 'Pitrigon Chhara Kursinama', 'Musalmanmangal', 'Kabi O Kamini', 'Chhayabastob', 'Kalpana Chakma', and 'Rajar Sepai'.
