Bangladeshi youth killed in BSF firing at Patgram border

A Bangladeshi young man was gunned down by some members of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) near No 1 main pillar of Dahagram-Angorpota BOP border at Dahagram upazila in Lalmonirhat early Sunday. 

The deceased was identified as Rofiul Islam Tuklu, son of Afjal Hossain of Dangapara village under Dahagram union in the upazila.

Source said a patrol team of BSF opened fire on a group of smugglers when they illegally entered India, leaving Tuklu dead on the spot. Later, India’s Mekhliganj police took away the body.

Confirming the matter to Jago News, Ferdous Wahid, Officer-in-charge of Patgram Police Station, said Indian police recovered the body. 

BGB-51 Panbari camp Subder Amanuzzaman said a letter was sent to the BSF in this regard.
