Dinajpur on Sunday recorded its lowest minimum temperature of the season so far at 5.5 degrees Celsius.
The temperature was recorded at 6am in the district by the Meteorological Office.
On Friday, the lowest temperature of this season was recorded in Tetulia of Panchagarh at 5.8 degrees Celsius.
Dinajpur Met office official Asaduzzaman said the temperature was recorded at 5.5 degrees Celsius which is the lowest temperature in the district this year. The temperature is likely to remain the same in the district throughout January.
However, the government has decided to keep the primary schools closed for Sunday and Monday, and high schools for Sunday due to severe cold wave.
