Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Friday termed BNP a dummy party in the country that suffers from frustration.
"Now BNP is a dummy party in Bangladesh that lost hope and suffers from frustration. Even horse laughs hearing its tough movement," he said.
He, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said this in a warm clothes distribution program arranged by Awami League's sub-committee on relief and social welfare at Dhanmondi 32 in the capital Dhaka.
Mentioning that the BNP made a big mistake not participating in the election, Obaidul Quader said the party will realize it soon.
Stating that the party called black-flag processions on Friday and Saturday, he said it is the procession of mourning as it has no hope because no sanctions and visa policy were imposed on the country.
"Black flag is a sign of mourning. They (BNP) itself is saying to the nation that we are accepting defeat," the AL general secretary said.
He also warned of resisting BNP strictly if it commits violence, creates disturbances in people's livelihood, calls hartal-blockade and torches vehicles.
