The country's longest marathon event 'Marine Drive-Ultra, Season Three' has been organized at Cox's Bazar Marine Drive. The two-day long marathon started on Friday (January 19) with the slogan "Our Heritage, Our Glory". PRAN-RFL, the country's leading business conglomerate, was the main sponsor of this event.
About 300 local and foreign runners participated in this event in three categories, 50 km, 100 km and 161 km or 100 miles. At the same time, more than 50 third gender and people with special needs have participated in this event.
Nurul Afser, Deputy General Manager (Corporate Brand) of PRAN-RFL Group said, “the main goal of this kind of event is to play a positive role in the international branding of Bangladesh, to build a sustainable and environment friendly Bangladesh. We think that this type of program will contribute to country's sustainable development goals and environmental awareness.”
