Police arrested the chairman of scam-hit e-commerce platform Alesha Mart Manjurul Alam Sikder from Banani in Dhaka on Sunday morning.
Rifat Rahman Shamim, Deputy Commissioner of Gulshan Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), confirmed the matter to Jago News.
He said Manjurul is a warranted accused in more than 100 cases. He will be produced to the court.
Earlier on 21 June 2023, a Dhaka Court ordered to freeze all properties of Alesha Mart and barred four persons, including company Chairman, from travelling abroad.
The Alesha Mart started its journey on January 7, 2021.
