A case has been filed over the arson attack on a train of 'Benapole Express' in Dhaka that left four people dead.
SM Nurul Islam, director (guard) of the train, lodged the case against unknown people with Railway Police Station on Saturday evening under the Special Power Act.
Anwar Hossain, superintendent of Railway Police, Dhaka confirmed the matter.
Earlier, eight people, including Dhaka South City unit BNP's joint convener Nabiullah Nabi, were arrested in connection with the incident.
On Friday night, four passengers were killed as the miscreants set the Benapole Express train on fire at Gopibagh area of Sayedabad in Dhaka.
The deceased could not be identified as the bodies were beyond recognition. The bodies were kept at the morgue of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
Earlier, on 19 December, four people including a child were killed after miscreants set fire to Dhaka-bound Mohanganj Expres in the capital’s Tejgaon area.
