Mild to moderate cold wave sweeps over north-eastern districts

Mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over three north-eastern districts of the country and it may continue, said a met office forecast for the next 24 hours from 9am on Wednesday.

"Mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Dinajpur, Panchagarh Nilphamari and it may continue", it said. 

Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.

Moderate to dense fog may occur over the country from midnight to tomorrow morning and it may continue till noon at some places over the country.

Air navigation, inland river transport and road communication may disrupt due to dense fog.

Night and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. Due to dense fog, cold day condition may prevail over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 29.5 degree Celsius at Sitakunda and minimum temperature today was 07.4 degree Celsius at Tetulia.

Ridge of sub continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining northwestern part of Bangladesh. Seasonal low lies over South Bay, extending its trough to North Bay.

The sun sets at 05:24 PM today and rises at 06:42 AM tomorrow in the capital.
