One dengue patient died and 72 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours.
With the latest death, a total of 1,703 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said on Saturday.
Currently, 734 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 289 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 445 are in other divisions.
As many as 3,21,073 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Some 3,18,636 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
