City Group Chairman and Managing Director Fazlur Rahman has passed away.
He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital around 4am on Monday.
His relatives said he was admitted to the hospital on Sunday night as he felt sick.
His namaz-e-janaza will be held at Dhupkhola field in the capital’s Gendaria after Asr prayers.
He left behind his wife, a son, three daughters and many well-wishers to mourn his death.
On February 6, 1972, City Group began its operations with the production of mustard oil. At that time, Fazlur Rahman mainly invested in production and trading. Later, he started expanding his business by investing in other fields.
