Police detained three people while allegedly attempting to detonate crude bombs on a train in Narayanganj city on Sunday afternoon.
The detainees are Joynal Abedin, 22, Habibur Rahman alias Hasan, 21, and Md Arif, 23.
Mokhlesur Rahman, sub-inspector of Narayanganj Railway Police, said they detained the three youths red-handed while attempting to throw crude bombs on a Dhaka-bound commuter train at the district's central railway station.
In primary questioning, they admitted to their offense, he said.
But whether they are involved with any political party could not be confirmed, the SI added.
