Bangladesh beat New Zealand by nine wickets in their third and final ODI at McLean Park in Napier on Saturday.
After rolling New Zealand for 98 in 31.4 overs, captain Najmul Hossain Shanto made an unbeaten 51 from 42 balls and Anamul Haque 37 from 33 to lead Bangladesh to its first ODI win over the Kiwis in New Zealand in 19 attempts.
Earlier, Shoriful Islam, Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Soumya Sarkar took three wickets each.
The Tigers lost the rain-hit first game by 44 runs before suffering a seven-wicket defeat in the second game despite landmark 169 run knock of Soumya Sarkar.
The defeat extended Bangladesh’s losing streak in ODI on New Zealand soil to 18.
The Black Caps, even won a three-match series in Bangladesh by 2-0 ahead of the World Cup.
