BNP urges to boycott vote, not to cooperate with govt

BNP has urged the country's people not to cooperate with the government in all aspects from today and boycott the upcoming January 7 general elections.

The party's Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the call in a virtual press conference this afternoon.

Urging those assigned to hold polls to refrain from performing duties, Rizvi said, "Don't go to 'money play' in the name of election and to the polling stations. The list of who will become parliament members has already been prepared."

Rizvi called upon countrymen to stop paying all types of tax, gas, electricity and water bills to the government.

The BNP leader also urged opposition political leaders and activists accused in false and fictitious cases to refrain from giving attendance in court.
