Two people were killed and six others injured in a road accident in Jamalpur early Friday.
The deceased were identified as Shamsul Hossain, 52, a resident of Chhontia village in Sadar upazila of the district and Anwar Hossain, 40, from Dhanbari upazila of Tangail. They both were vegetable sellers.
The incident took place in Titpalli area on the Jamalpur-Tangail road around 5:30 am.
Jamalpur Sadar Police Station officer in-charge Muhammad Mohabbat Kabir said a bus of 'Sadnan Paribahan' rammed into a three-wheeler (locally known as leguna) and an auto-rickshaw, leaving two dead and six others injured.
Being informed, police and fire service personnel rescued the injured and sent them to hospital.
