Bangladesh wrapped up for 172 in first innings

Bangladesh were bundled out for 172 in its first innings of the second cricket Test against New Zealand at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital Dhaka on Wednesday.

Mushfiqur Rahim who became the first Bangladeshi batter to be dismissed for 'handling of the ball' made team-high 35 while Shahadat Hossain Dipu scored 31. They shared 57 for the fifth wicket, which was the highest partnership for Bangladesh in this innings.

Left-arm spinner Mitchell Santner (3-31) and offspinner Glenn Phillips (3-65) shared six wickets to wreck havoc on Bangladesh batting line up.

Left-arm spinner Ajaz Patel claimed 2-54 while skipper Tim Southee who bowled 5.2overs but didn't concede a single run, took one wicket as Bangladesh's innings came to an end shortly after tea session on day one of the game.
