A woman and her daughter were killed and two others injured in a road accident in Subarnachar upazila of Noakhali on Friday morning.
The deceased were identified as Shilpi Akter, 32, wife of Shukkur Ali, a resident of East Charjabber village in the upazila, and their daughter three-year-old Sharmin Akter.
Police and locals said a truck rammed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in front of Abdul Mannan Sweater Factory on Sonapur road around 11:30 am, leaving four injured.
They were taken to Subarnachar Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared two dead.
Charjabber Police Station officer in-charge Md Humayun Kabir said the bodies were recovered and the truck seized.
