A bus caught fire on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway in Munshiganj on Friday afternoon, leaving three passengers injured.

The identities of the injured could not be known immediately.

All the passengers managed to get down from the bus but three suffered burn injuries, they said.

Of them, seriously injured one was sent to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, Dhaka, the witnesses added.

However, a firefighting unit, later, brought the fire under control after around 20 minutes' efforts, Sirajdikhan Fire Service and Civil Defence in-charge Badal Rahman told Jago News.
