Police in a nightlong drive from Monday night to Tuesday morning arrested 45 people including activists of Jamaat and Shibir in Kotchandpur and Shailkupa upazilas of Jhenaidah district.
The identities of the arrestees could not be known yet.
Additional Superintendent of Police Ajbahar Ali Sheikh said in the fear of subversive activities police has conducted drives across the district and arrested 45 people.
The arrestees were wanted in several cases filed with different police station of the district, he added.
