The voting of the next general elections will be held on January 7, 2024.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal announced the schedule of the 12th parliamentary elections at Nirbachan Bhaban at Agargaon in capital Dhaka on Wednesday evening.
As per the schedule, November 30 is the last date for nomination submission; nomination papers will be scrutinized from December 1 to 4; and December 17 is the deadline for nomination withdrawal.
The returning officers will allocate election symbols on December 18.
The election campaign will begin on December 18 and continue until 8 pm on January 5, 2024.
There are around 11,96,91,633 voters and of them, 6,07,71,579 are male and 5,89,19,202 female.
