The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced a fresh 48-hour countrywide blockade for Wednesday and Thursday.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Senior Joint Secretary General of the party, announced the programme at a virtual press briefing on Monday afternoon.
The fresh announcement came after the fourth phase blockade that will end today.
Jamaat-e-Islami and other like-minded parties are also expected to declare a similar programme.
