Miscreants torched a bus of 'Akash Paribahan' in Khilkhet area of Dhaka on Monday night on the second day of the 48-hour nationwide blockade of road, rail, and waterways enforced by BNP, and Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.
The incident took place around 8:30 pm, said Rakibul Hasan, duty officer at the control room of Fire Service and Civil Defence.
Being informed, two units of Kurmitola Fire Service went to the spot and were trying to douse the blaze, he added.
Earlier today, Fire Service and Civil Defence said arson attacks were carried out in 21 places of the country, including 12 in the capital, during the 48-hour blockade of BNP, and Jamaat in the second phase.
However, the second phase 48-hour blockade ends at 6 am on Tuesday.
