BNP Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu ‘picked up’

BNP Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu was allegedly picked up by DB police on Sunday midnight. 

He was detained by DB police from his sister’s residence in the capital Dhaka around 12am, said BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan.

Earlier on Sunday, law enforcers arrested BNP’s two other vice chairmen Altaf Hossain Chowdhury and Shahjahan Omar.

On October 29, police detained BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir from his residence in Gulshan a day after their grand rally in Naya Paltan. Later, he was shown arrested in the case filed with Ramna Police Station.

On October 31, DB police in a drive arrested the party’s Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas and Joint Secretary General Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal from Shahidbagh in Dhaka.
