Driver burnt as bus set on fire in Banasree

A driver of a bus of Achim Paribahan suffered burn injuries as miscreants set the bus on fire at Meradia Bazar area in the capital’s Banasree on Sunday morning on the first day of two-day countrywide blockade called by BNP and its allies. 

The injured is Sabuj, 30, hailed from Phulpur in Mymensingh district. 

He was admitted to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (SHNIBPS). 

His wife Rasheda said the bus was set on fire around 7am. Later, he was rescued and admitted to the hospital. 

Md Tariqul Islam, Resident Physician of the SHNIBPS, said Sabuj suffered 28% burn injuries. He is in critical condition.
