BNP Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas and Joint Secretary General Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal have been arrested.
The detectives apprehended them in a drive at Shahidbag in Dhaka on Tuesday night.
Additional Commissioner and Chief of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Mohammad Harun or Rashid confirming the arrests.
He said Mirza Abbas and Alal are accused in several cases filed over the violence and subversive acts during BNP's October 28 grand rally.
After arrest, they were taken to DB custody and will be produced before the court on Wednesday, he added.
