Ruling Awami League (AL) and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will hold rallies in the capital on Saturday afternoon.
BNP will hold a rally in front of its Nayapaltan office at 2pm demanding resignation of the AL government.
The party's Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will present as a chief guest at the rally.
BNP's like-minded parties will also hold rallies in different parts of the capital.
Meanwhile, AL will hold a peace and development rally at 2pm at the south gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
General Secretary of the party Obaidul Quader will address as a chief guest the rally.
However, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-islami is also expected to hold a rally in Motijheel’s Shapla Chhattar at 2pm.
