Ex-Communications Minister Abul Hossain no more

Former lawmaker of Madaripur-3 constituency and Communications Minister Syed Abul Hossain has passed away. He was 72.

He breathed his last at 2:05am on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at United Hospital in the capital.

He left behind his wife, two daughters and many well-wishers to mourn his death.

His personal assistant Somir Ronzon confirmed the death to Jago News.

He said the former minister was admitted to the hospital with severe heart problem on Tuesday evening.

Abul Hossain was born on October 1, 1951 at Dasar in Madaripur.

He served as a member of Jatiya Sangsad for four terms during 1991-1995 and 1996-2014 representing the Madaripur-3 constituency. He served as the Minister of Communications (2009-2012) and State Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives (1996-1997).
