The schedule for the 12th national election will be announced in the second week of November.
An election commissioner, seeking anonymity, told reporters at EC Bhaban in the capital’s Agargaon on Monday.
He said the next parliamentary polls will be held in the last week of December this year, or in the first week of January 2024.
He said the voting environment is good, I don’t see any problem. People want to know when the polls will be held.
The election commissioner said the voter lists, ballot boxes, ballot papers and other important election accessories will be sent to field-level offices from this week. Hence, Election Commission sent a letter seeking security for its local, upazila and district offices.
It is mentionable that, the 11th parliamentary election was held on December 30, 2019.
