Twenty dengue patients died and 1,889 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours.
With the latest death, a total of 1,246 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said on Saturday.
Currently, 8,114 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
As many as 2,52,990 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Some 2,43,630 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
