A Dhaka court on Monday sent Ruma Akhter, wife of sensational Narayanganj seven-murder prime accused Nur Hossain to jail rejecting her bail petition in a case for acquiring wealth illegally.Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Sayeed passed the order when Julfiker Ali investigation officer of ACC produced him before the court and pleaded her jail detention.Earlier police arrested Ruma Akter, wife of sensational Narayanganj seven-murder prime accused Nur Hossain for acquiring wealth illegally from her house at Shimrail of Narayanganj on Monday morning.She was sued by ACC for hiding information about Tk 3.62 crore and acquiring wealth worth Tk 5.3 crore illegally. ACC filed the case with Ramna Police Station in capital.Ruma hid information about wealth worth Tk 36,270,000 when she submitted her wealth statement to ACC on December 8, 2015.Besides, ACC also found that she possesses wealth worth Tk 50,322,116 while the corruption watchdog conducted investigation.
