Rabindra University in Sirajganj’s Shahjadpur has introduced a 15-day paternity leave for its employees.
The decision was taken at the university’s 24th syndicate meeting held on September 26.
Md Shah Ali, Public Relations Officer of the university, confirmed the matter to Jago News on Monday.
He said the decision was made at the university’s 24th syndicate meeting chaired by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Md Shah Azam.
Rabindra University Treasurer Dr Firoz Ahmed, Chairman of economics department Sharmin Sultana, Dhaka University Professor Abu Md Delwar Hossain, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Education Johurul Islam and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs Subrata Bhowmik were, among others, present in the meeting.
