The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association has decided to reduce the price of gold by Tk 1,749 per bhori following a decrease in the price of pure gold in the local market.
Now, gold of 22-carat will cost Tk 98,211 per bhori (11.664 grams), 21-carat Tk 93,779, 18-carat Tk 80,365, and gold of traditional method Tk 66,951 respectively.
BAJUS's standing committee on pricing and price monitoring took the decision in a meeting on Saturday, a press release said.
The new prices will come into effect from Sunday (October 1).
Earlier on Thursday (September 28), the jeweler’s association decided to decrease the price of gold by Tk 1,284 per bhori.
