Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has brought out a demonstration procession and a protest rally in Dhaka demanding the release of the party's Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman and Islamic scholars and withdrawal of false cases against them, and the formation of a caretaker government.
The party's Dhaka City South unit secretary Shafiqul Islam Masud led the procession that started from Sadarghat on Saturday morning and ended through a rally at Banglabazar after parading important roads.
The party's central Majlis-e-Shura member and Dhaka City South assistant secretaries Delwar Hossain and Kamal Hossain, Majlis-e-Shura member and the unit's working committee member Prof Mokarram Hossain, leaders and activists of different levels attended the procession and rally.
