Tamim excluded from World Cup squad, Mahmudullah included

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Tuesday announced a 15-member squad for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 starting from October 5 in India.

Opener Tamim Iqbal was excluded from the squad while Mahmudullah Riyad was included.

Shakib Al Hasan will lead the Tigers at the 50-overs World Cup while Tanzid Hasan Tamim will bat at No. 1 position.

Bangladesh squad: Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Liton Das, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Towhid Hridoy, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taskin Ahmed, Mostafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud, Shariful Islam, Nasum Ahmed, Mahedi Hasan, and Tanzim Hasan Sakib.
