bdapps onboards female madrasa students as apps developers

Pioneered by Robi, the national appstore of the country, bdapps, has recently embarked on a unique project, called- "Project Khadija" to facilitate the participation of female madrasa students in the appstore.

In this connection, a training workshop was organized recently at Rajshahi Mahila Fazil Madrasa, Rajshahi.

bdapps arranged the training for more than 60 female madrasa students providing them the opportunity to learn digital skills required for app development. 

They were also given detailed guidance on how to earn from the platform by hosting their apps on it.

Beating all expectations, 20 of the participants have already earned 5,000 taka on average, within one month of completion of their training; collectively, they had earned one lakh taka in that month.

Robi’s Chief Commercial Officer, Shihab Ahmad, said, "bdapps as a platform celebrate diversity and is committed to work towards it. As part of that commitment, we have launched the Project Khadija initiative to onboard female students from the Madrasa education system. We believe Smart Bangladesh offers opportunity for all; from bdapps we are doing our part to create these opportunities for all segment of the society.” 

Jannatul Naeem, a participant in the workshop, expressed her gratitude by saying: "As madrasa students, we don't often get this kind of opportunity. We are grateful to Robi and bdapps for bringing this initiative to us. I want to contribute to my family through bdapps.”

As part of the Project Khadija initiative, female Madrasah students studying in class IX to XII are being given essential training like coding, graphics designing, spoken English through bdapps.

Participants will be under observation and necessary guidance for three months following their training to ensure they get every opportunity to apply the knowledge they acquired from the training.-Press Release.
