Three people were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a microbus in Narsingdi in the early hours of Saturday.
The accident occurred on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Shrifulia area in Shibpur upazila around 2am.
Abdul Mannan Ansari, Senior Station Master of Narsingdi Fire Service and Civil Defence, confirmed the matter to Jago News.
Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
The injured are Hasina Begum, 39 and Sanzida Begum, 19, hailing from Madaripur. They were admitted to Narsingdi 100-bed hospital.
Earlier on Friday night, three people were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Raipura upazila in Narsingdi.
