Two students were injured as two groups of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists engaged into an intra-clash over establishing supremacy at Chittagong Government College on Sunday noon.The injured students are Mahmudul Karim, a leader of BCL, College unit and Elias Sarker, a second year student of the college.Campus sources said the two groups - one led by Nurul Azom Rony, General Secretary of city Chhatra League and the other by Tinu, a leader of Chittagong city Juba League - locked in a clash at around 12:30 pm.Activists and supporters of the leaders, equipped with iron rods, hockey sticks, and sharp weapons, swooped on each other on the campus, leaving two students injured.Being informed, police rushed to the spot and dispersed the clashing groups.Kamal, Sub-inspetor of Chawk Bazar Police Station said police tried to bring the situation under control.
