Twenty dengue patients died and 2,689 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours.
With the latest death, a total of 691 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said on Thursday.
Currently, 9,711 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 4,151 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 5,560 are in other divisions.
As many as 1,40,711 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Some 1,30,309 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
